Where it all started
I’ve always had a passion for food and have wanted to have my own pizza business for many years, having worked as a pizzaiolo and Head Chef in Italian restaurants and finally in lockdown 2020 Back Garden Pizzeria was born.
Selling pizzas in my own back garden to my mates via a “Pizza Party Line” WhatsApp group quicky evolved into a city-wide pizza delivery service.
What started out as collection only, evolved to delivering around 60 pizza’s a night across Bristol.
We went mobile
In 2019, we opened a stall at Glastonbury and were hoping to push on to many more festivals before Covid hit and we had to take a break.
As things were opening up in 2021, we were invited to do the crew catering and our pizzas at Tribe of Doris Festival and we are now established at Shambala and Glastonbury Festivals since 2022.
We moved out
After outgrowing our garden in Barton Hill, we moved to the Art Club in summer 2023, where we loved welcoming our customers and continuing to grow our takeaway service across all the major delivery platforms in Bristol
In December 2024, we said goodbye to our Art Club home as the venue came to a permanent close. We decided to look for a permanent home and soon found the old opticians shop on St Stephen's Street that was up for lease. Having completed a full fit out and refurbishment we opened our doors to the public in August 2025!
